Threaded steel: On October 27th, the average price of 20mm Grade III seismic resistant threaded steel in 31 major cities across the country was 3234 yuan/ton, an increase of 15 yuan/ton from the previous trading day. In the short term, market sentiment has improved under the impact of environmental restrictions in the north.
Hot rolled coils: On October 27th, the average price of 4.75mm hot rolled coils in 24 major cities across the country was 3350 yuan/ton, an increase of 17 yuan/ton from the previous trading day. In terms of supply, some steel mills in the Tangshan area have reported receiving notices that the production limit for sintering machines will be extended until the end of October, and blast furnaces will be held at 30% capacity, which will to some extent affect the supply of molten iron. From the perspective of exports, facing policy pressure, global trade barriers have once again escalated, and further attention needs to be paid to negotiations between China and the United States.
Cold rolled coils: On October 27th, the average price of 1.0mm cold coils in 24 major cities across the country was 3919 yuan/ton, an increase of 6 yuan/ton from the previous trading day. The good performance of the futures market has to some extent enhanced the market's purchasing enthusiasm, and there has been a slight improvement in intraday transactions. According to feedback from Southwest traders, there was an increase in inquiry customers on the 27th, but the market demand in October did not meet expectations, and the actual transaction performance was relatively average. Currently, shipment is still the main focus.
Medium thick plate: On October 27th, the average price of 20mm ordinary plate in 24 major cities across the country was 3464 yuan/ton, an increase of 6 yuan/ton from the previous trading day. Black series futures have fluctuated upwards, and the trading atmosphere in the national spot market has improved. However, the main focus is on general board shipments, while low-alloy shipments are slightly worse. At present, the speed of unloading medium and thick plates is average, and most traders still hold a cautious attitude towards the future market.
